I am sorry that I was unable to attend the viewing on Sunday because of other commitments. Also on Monday I was in the office and was unable to reschedule my patients. I feel that my life was blessed by knowing Ed. Unfortunately illnesses do occur that we cannot cure. The last time I saw him was at the hospital. He was surrounded by friends and family. Even though the end was near, his illness did not distract from his basic upbeat personality. Ed should be an inspiration to all of us.
